Only time I've ever seen those red cups was in a gas station selling them in packs of 10 for like 15 dollars...

Red solo cups are pretty high quality plastic cups. I've used other shitty clear plastic cups and they just don't compete. The separating of colors let's you know that the cup is made from two layers of plastic which is significantly more durable than the crappy clear cups you buy for 5 cents. They're worth it.

Mostly kegs and beer pong, but white trash and the "urban market" use them instead of real cups cause they're too lazy to wash dishes and real cups are expensive.
