That's how it works for me except I rarely plateau at specific times. It gets an hour or so off schedule each night until I either decide to force it back to normal or naturally get back on track. It usually stays relatively normal for a while until I end up staying up late for whatever reason.

Have now dropped €460 in total between eth and btc and I'm going to invest in OMG too.

It's worse when they have season 10-20 episodes, because they're shit and uninspired, but people who stuck with the Simpsons because they didn't know it had utterly collapsed will have seen it, and the obligatory overused pop culture references will be severely dated (and excessively American-centric to boot).

Later seasons appeal more to women and millennials, which while admittedly shit audience profiles, are different from early 2000s plebeian American boomer male.

If I ever see that episode where the hunky prisoner stays in the basement and burns Skinner's car again, I'll fucking be angry.

For me I think it's that you don't quite know what you're getting. If I wanted to watch something right now I'd have to pick the episode myself, when watching the telly the network chooses for you. It might be an episode you forgot about but still enjoy. I imagine a lot of people would look up a top ten list or something when picking an episode of something like The Simpsons to watch, this not only raises your expectations too high but you might also not think the episode is as good as the people who made the list did.

Better in the sense of wit, of course not. You get about five minutes of good scenes per season in ~11-20, only 2.50 in the later ones. BUT you get god-knows-how-many hours of absolute shit and dated D-list references galore through11-20, but less stale unfunniness in the newer ones. Plus I for one don't know what's going to happen in the newer ones, whereas all the older shit episodes I know inside out. (The old good episodes, by comparison, still have unexplored angles and forgotten nuggets)

RTE doesn't censor them and had short breaks but Sky One shows multiple episodes at a time. As a kid, I probably preferred Sky One for that purpose. I think Channel 4 is the best for Simpsons though. I do, but I didn't really follow it all that often because too often it was weird live-action stuff from the 90s. The Little Rascals remake was apparently popular, they showed it twice in the two primary schools I went to as well as on the telly. Then there was the one where Mary Kate and Ashley swapped bodies, but my memory of that is very hazily confused with that movie about the woman whose husband fucks another woman while she has cancer and eventually dies. Combining the two would probably be an interesting movie.
Then there was the Stuart Little movie which in hindsight is very disturbing and has bad morals.
