Gold plated pistols like pictured would be the most iconic. These are usually decorated Browning 1911 or variations. Officially it would be large caliber revolvers of the Mexican revolution period, almost always American made, these are the sole exception to caliber restrictions on civilians when worn by Charros as part of their outfit.

Tequila would be our most iconic drink, although technically it is a variation on mezcal and other spirits based on pre-hispanic pulque. Fermented maize drinks like Tehuino deserve a mention.

The Mercury Grand Marquis was strongly associated with narcos in the 80's-90's and probably remains the most enduring in Mexican iconography, although American muscle cars from the 60's-70's, particularly the Mustang, tend to be prefered. Special mention is the Volkswagen beetle which was wildly succesful in Mexico as well as to a lesser extent the Nisan Sentra in its Mexican tsuru variation. These two cars became a big part of folk culture and are arguably beloved in Mexico.
