Colombia only had one dictatorship for four years in the 50s.

Communism is a honey pot ideology which easily suckers the average person, and when it fails, proponents can find excuses like American imperialism and "Not real socialism".

If you try and fight it, people will blame you for why it failed, and if you don't, many people will suffer. It's a catch-22
