As of now, I realize that the Latvian regional template does not correspond to how Latvia is organized.

Latvia's districts were made defunct in 2009, therefore, we need somebody to create a new map with the 108 first level municipalities and I will work on getting rid of district flags which are irrelevant now.

I'm going to say this:I'm totally against the flags that you made:

-It's all white flags with CoA
-The CoA are too big

Also I have seen this: cuadrillas of Álava have flags with a different background than white.

I don't know how many times I have to stress that my primary job is to close issues and add flags into the database. If you're unhappy with Aliva's flags, then make them in the proper manner and submit them, and I'll push them in.

I think I'm going to fork extraflags, and make a version that lets you select custom ideological flags and distribute it on /pol/. What are your thoughts on this?

I still need to look into how extraflags actually works... I know the project claims to not capture IPs or anything but I imagine there must be a backend server involved somewhere. I need to look into it.

I'm not saying that you are indeed purposefully logging the IP addresses of clients, but it is certainly a possibility.

I think you're misunderstanding how this is working.

The script we're talking about is a script which records which post numbers use which flags, and said flags are determined by what the user chooses to display. This script is designed to ease flag collecting.

The source code has no IP tracking properties, the only thing which even remotely gives away your IP is your country flag, which 4chan (not us) determines using your IP.

Let me reiterate. The extraflags are chosen by YOU. The script we run in the thread merely searches 4chan for flags that people have chosen to display (many are people choosing false/impossible/improbable flags), but the actual repository and code to display extraflags keeps the flags in a repository and displays them here according to what the user selects from a list.

I have no idea why this is so difficult for people to understand.

personally I will collect obvious proxies because it's the only time a lot of flags will post and it's rare occasion anyway (although I wouldn't save it if it was just a mong running through a 100 different rare proxies in the same thread)
I do collect regionals but only USA/Canada and UK as it's realistic to complete them
