It was undetectable even in 1000 A.D. Hungarians came from Asia around 700, pillaged and waged wars in Europe, they won some, but lost more, so it's obvious their tribes' numbers thinned greatly over time.
They managed to paw off their worthless language and culture to some villagers in Pannonia (us), but they died out completely by around 900 A.D. If you take any Hungarian man, a quick DNA test will show that his ancestors had lived in this area for at least 7000 years.
