duolingo is for normies who want to learn a language but only willing to put into the bare minimum work required to learn the basics.

Asides from that it doesn't really surprise me that it has a fictional language. More people know high valyrian than Greek for one.

A lot of the sentences they use are wrong or unnatural, by the time you've sussed out the right one you might as well have just got it from another source
