Too high price. US medicine is kind of fraud.
>>
I'm a medical billing specialist or whatever, this is an explanation of benefits, if you know how to read it, you'll notice it's for the insurance company. For some reason hospitals send these to patients, it really freaks them the fuck out. Also, insurance companies will pay these retarded amounts, it's moronic.
>>
>>79013564
the healthcare industry in this country is corrupt as shit, if you dont have insurance than youre better off dying on the operating table.
the only industry more corrupt than them is the defense industry. the military industrial complex is so corrupt it will make your head spill, but they get the job done and thats what matters

They have medical insurance. It's your own fault if you have to pay for medical care in USA.
>>
Supposedly insurance companies would rather simply pay such exorbitant amounts that actually try arguing with hospitals over what the real cost should be.

Which is quite fishy, because normally insurance companies are extremely eager to convince other parties that the real cost involved is substantially lower than what is claimed, and they'll invest a lot of ressources into trying to prove this. But when it comes to healthcare, suddenly they no longer care.
>>
>>79013564
holy black jesus they should have just killed the person instead of letting them suffer with that bill. yes americans actually do that.
>make insurance a necessity for all americans
>make it really expensive
>we dont wanna pay lol
this is the american wealthcare system
>>
>>79013564
inshall*h, america will destroy itself.
>>
>>79016660
>suddenly they no longer care.
You're a fool if you don't think health insurance companies aren't part of the problem and don't care.

"higher health care costs mean higher health insurance premiums for everyone. It’s Health Insurance 101: Insurance is about pooling risk. That’s a good thing because it protects you against unexpected costs—but companies have to collect enough in premiums to pay for members’ health expenses. The higher the expenses for the risk pool, the higher the premiums for everyone—even if you received little or none of that care.

And if you’re wondering why you can’t get ahead financially, blame it on the fact that health care is eating your raises. Since 2000, incomes have barely kept up with inflation and insurance premiums have more than doubled. The average employer family health plan that cost companies $6,438 per staffer in 2000 shot up to $16,351 by 2013. That’s money that could have gone into your paycheck but didn’t because your employer had to spend it on your health insurance instead."

Insurance companies are getting theirs
>>
>>79016660
As I mentioned earlier here, I do medical billing, and it's absolutely the case the insurance companies are perfectly willing to pay ridiculous amounts. It's a system that began in the 80s when doctors began billing for each "service" they provided during a visit, draw a little blood, talk a little bit, etc. They billed for each one, so a $30 visit became $150 and the insurance companies agreed to cover it.
>>
>>79013564
I find something like this hard to believe. I've had medical bills before and it's never been above 5k let alone 350k

Yes

>Widowed Early, A Cancer Doctor Writes About The Harm Of Medical Debt

>Chino is co-author of a research letter, published Thursday in JAMA Oncology, that shows that some cancer patients, even with insurance, spend about a third of their household income on out-of-pocket health care costs outside of insurance premiums. It's an issue Chino knows well.

>In 2005, before they were married, Chino and Ladd were living together in Houston. She was working in entertainment, and he was on the verge of earning his doctorate in robotics at Rice University. Each had medical insurance – she through her job, he through the school. He was diagnosed with neuroendocrine carcinoma... In less than a month, they reached his $5,000 prescription drug limit and began paying $300 out of pocket for his anti-nausea medications and blood thinners. Ladd was getting sicker but trying to keep up with his work. Chino emptied her retirement savings and quit her job to care for him. Soon, his medical costs surpassed his insurance policy's $500,000 lifetime limit. But the bills kept coming.

>Despite his illness, Ladd landed a job as a professor at the University of Michigan. It came with health insurance, and he continued treatment there

>But he never moved into his office. Three months into his time at Michigan, he died.

>Chino was left with an ocean of debt. She estimates it's in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

well of course a good portion of it will go to niggers as it will go to fat people and to smokers who did it to themselves, but what's the point? healthcare is there for that, most of people get ill for stuff they did

There's multiple things that might happen:

1. they would contact their insurance to fight them to pay for the bill. If they won't cover it, they might go to the person that provided them with the care to haggle down the prices. If they won't cancel, make a realistic accessible payment plan, or reduce it significantly they might

a) take you to court if you don't pay the bills and sue you

or

b) sell your debt to a debt collector whose entire enterprise is buying debt belonging to the debtors from medical practitioners and hospitals and taking them to court

Which if that happens, and you have no means to pay it off, you would be advised to declare bankruptcy and risk losing your home and having shitty credit that no one would rent out to you.

I was just thinking about this the other day. When I was like 8, I used to read all the Black Jack manga books. You guys can look it up on Wikipedia if you don't know the plot. I remember that Black Jack gave this Yakuza mobster an ultimatum that his son would die from some sort of tumor if he didn't operate on him, and it would cost a million yen. The mobster nearly had a heart attack over the cost! But nowadays, adjusted for inflation, that would be way less that what your budget surgeon would charge.

My sister got a shard of a Corona bottle lodged in her foot down in Cabo, and when she got it removed (a year and a half later after saving up some cash: She used a wheelchair during that time) the bill came out to like 100,000 dollars for a procedure that took maybe 20 minutes in an Urgent Care center in an outlet mall with a strip club and a Burger King.

Fiction is becoming more rational than reality.

that pic is why I'll never be able to support cuckservatives

I'd rather have leftists who import brown people and shove lgbtbbq down my throat than have right-wingers whose highest priority is the preservation of their fucking aristocratic class. Fuck, I'm not even a commie or anything of the sort, but seeing that pic makes me understand why there are some people who would be tempted to support communism.
>>
>>79017710
why didn't she get it fixed in Mexico? probably would have been cheaper

Heck, even coming to Canada to get the surgery done would have been cheaper (though she would need to be able to get passed the border without them knowing that she was intending to get medical procedures done)
>>
Insurance pays for most of this. This is just a way to scam insurance money from companies.
>>
>>79017578
sounds like lots of fun
also i often hear in moves about "good" and "bad" health insurace. care to give an explain about that? how common is to not have any insurance at all, how many have a bad one and what does that mean? if you get cancer you are fucked but hit by a car is ok or what?
>>
Can one of you eurocucks explain what's wrong with this? (after all, you have a bunch of free time with abdul fucking your wife) In America, we believe in working for everything you get... that means no nigger-spic-gook handouts even for YES THE HOSPITAL.

It's so frustrating how even after the cold war we still have people bringing up our health care system. Guess what, when the communist countries tried giving people subsidized health care there were bread lines, and it is estimated 200 million people were killed by communism in the 20th century.

And the democrats? Every democrat controlled state is in failure... California has the highest poverty in the nation, and we all know what happened to the rust belt.

It's fucking disgusting. How the fuck else should we pay for health care than by ourselves? By taking other people's money through Soros and other jew affiliated taxes? That's called theft and not respecting other people's personal space. That's called not respecting fundamental human morality; you don't show others human empathy, and you are thus not human. And since you are not human, you should be fucking killed.

I hope for the day trump enacts a truly free market health care system. I know it'll never happen, but I hope we get to gas you all too. When Russia invades and your countries become caliphates, please don't ask us for help to defend your families.

Oh by the way, have you considered not getting sick? lmao maybe if you prayed and stopped being a fucking homosexual degenerate you wouldn't need to go to a hospital to treat your fucking nigger aids.

She lives in L.A, and was back there by the time she went and got an X-Ray. Also, she was afraid those Mexican doctors would screw it up even more.

I get all my medical work done in Mexico, and I am still kicking, not to mention all the praise I get from my boss for not bankrupting the inurance plan with Dental Work and Eye Appoinments and Kidney stone removals and all that crap people get in order to spend more than 60 years on the planet.

53% of all Americans get their health insurance through their employers, who often offer it as a benefit from working for them (63% of jobs here offer health insurance plans), and who often offer a diverse range of plans that vary in quality coverage and costs. The more bigger, prosperous, and generous businesses are, the more better plans they often offer to their employees. But in totality, plans range from bare minimum plans that cover only what is required by law and have high deductibles and premiums to make up for it with little auxiliary benefits included, to more generous plans offered by higher-end employers who pay for most (sometimes all) of the deductible and premiums of the employee, and has a lot of benefits and services included (like more covered doctor visits, prescription coverage, elective care coverage) and whose network includes more doctors and clinics that are willing to take them in a given area. Before the ACA / 'Obamacare', there were 'catastrophic plans' (similar to plans of the same name with car insurance) that only covered some of costs of catastrophic events / emergencies with there being a low premium, but the ACA cancelled that because those plans were often misleading.

~10% off people currently do not have insurance. Back in 2008, it was around ~20%. The amount of businesses that have offered insurance plans have dwindled over the past recent decades, from around 70-80% in the mid '70's, to ~60% now.
>>
