Definitely the best part of Turkey, especially the liberal Aegean parts such as Izmir, Mugla, Aydin, as well as the Thrace region. I’m not much of a fan of the overcrowded Istanbul.

Mersin is very based, Antalya is touristy but cool too.

Only two good places: 1. the ultra-liberal student city Eskisehir and it’s young population and beautiful city. 2. Ankara, despite being mostly a boring city (apart from areas like Cankaya). Rest: pure Horror, the most conservative shithole.

I like Black Sea Turks, Georgians and Laz, they are pretty crazy but cool. Still majority of the cities are shitholes. Save for Artvin, which is very based.
