I didn't use google translate. I got "ein" wrong. If you write "German is a dumb language" in Google translate it gives "Deutsch ist eine dumme Sprache" try it yourself. I just studied a little bit of german, that's all.

I do, but the problem with the German language is that loan words can be perfectly integrated into the grammatical structure. That's why we have many Italian loan words (30 Years War) French loan words (Napoleon) but also many English loan words (Bongs&Burgers)

German is pretty hard to speak because Germans will never give you slack or help you. French are much better about this. I think Americans speaking it triggers them pretty hard

I was working in an internship once with many foreign students
the italian guy didn't speak the best german but it was okay(-ish) most of the time, he already lived in germany for maybe 1-2 years I think
one time he had a really bad day for some reason and was struggling pretty hard with some sentences and this other german co-worker who didn't know him well just started switching to english
man, I don't think I'll ever forget that defeated face
