Poverty has no role, in fact, there is a reason why most suicides happen in rich countries.
In poor countries you are guaranteed to meet the standard, and if you're above standard you are cherished.
In rich countries however it's hard to reach the standard of everyone thus making a feeling of involuntary isolation which causes depression, which can lead to suicide.
Other factors play in such as the family structure, which is stronger in the third world due to the limitation of resources, and religion, which most first world countries lack.

It's the tribal connection people feel in times of disaster or war. These kind of events bring us away from the fucked up modern world back closer to how we lived the last 99% of our existence, and it's great for people's mental health.

A conflict going on brings them together in a way more fulfilling than what you get driving a car across a city every day to your office job, living among a million people but largely only looking out for yourself.

This has been studied since WW2 when they weren't sure how quickly bombing campaigns would break the civilian population. Turns out it doesn't. Suicide and other mental health issues drop to record lows and even after the war people comment, semi joking, that they wished they could still have the blitz again for one day a month for the excitement of it all. The same one where they had 200,000 people killed or injured around them. But they missed it, in a way.

This is still in the realm of theory, but I am very inclined to believe it's true, because I myself am very prone to depression and suicidal thoughts, and the way I deal with it is to constantly challenge myself and set goals, so that I'm more focused on more substantial problems than my brain chemistry. It works very well for me. When I served in the military it was probably the least depressed I had ever been in my life.

That would something around 3 or 4 dollars every morning. I get really satisfied when I eat this kind of snack, specially together with a friend, it just makes my day happy. I'm not a "loser" or a buddhist, I'm being completely honest with you when I say that.

I don't dream about living in Dubai, marrying my qt, becoming rich or just owning the fucking world, because reality has destroyed my goals.
Those things are so far from my reality that I don't even think about it (no, I'm not a poorfag).

Life is "cruel" here to a point where you have to lower your expectations if you want to survive. I mean, next year I'm graduating at a top uni here (stemfag), I'm a polyglot, and I'm safe I won't find a job, just like my older brother.
