i don't like living in big cities, so it's not for me

I would like the idea of walled-in cities (that cannot expand any further) max 6km across, so they can be walked from end to end in under an hour, not closer than 50kms from one another, with high speed no stops in between rail transfer among them.

And no villages. The land would be worked by the city-dwellers.
