Tried this on /jp/ and failed.
I'm a UK Uni student and I've signed up to be the 'buddy' for a Japanese exchange student from Kansai University next term. I'll need to meet up with him on a weekly basis, show him around my city, help him out if needs be, and just try to make his time in England as smooth as possible.
Any suggestions for activities, talking points, advice, or anything else that could help me out?

Japanese are really boring people please torelate it
Look him directly in the eyes at all times, avoiding eye contact is considered rude.
Always talk loudly, the Japanese view silence as uncomfortable.
Don't be afraid to pat him on the back or give him a hug, Japanese culture is very physical.
Anime is always a good topic to bring up, most Japanese really love to talk about anime.
