He's just translated the Polish word directly.
"Studia stacjonarne" means you're studying during the daytime and they're free. They have much higher admission standards than non-stationary studies, which are split into two variants where you either have your lectures in the evenings or a huge block during the weekend. They're paid and are chosen by two groups of people - those who already have an ok full time job they don't want to lose and retards who couldn't get the necessary exam results to get into the daytime variant but have parents rich enough to pay for their worthless diploma.

Why do Americans do things?
>>
>>78877110
I have never been to the USA, so I don't have that many first hand experiences with Americans. But I think the biggest culture shock I've ever experienced regarding the US, is the George Tsunis case which made headlines in Norway a few years ago.

He was chosen as the American ambassador to Norway during the Obama administration, despite being uterly incompetent, and didn't really seem to know anything about our country at all.
Insulting as that may be, it was the notion that one could simply buy one self into politics with money that shocked me. All western countries are plutocratic to some extent, but being able to simply purchase positions like that through campaign funding is something I had no idea was even remotely possible in any western country.
>>
>>78878617

Ok sorry let me explain what stationary studies are because I just translated this from Polish

So in Poland you can enroll to any university for free on "stationary" or "day" studies (maybe it's called different in English dunno) as long as have high enough score from HS Finals
When you fail a course, you have to pay to redo it next semester though

Then there are "weekend" studies on weekends and they are not for free, you have to pay a tuition as you would in USA. Those are for people who did worse on finals OR want to work a full time job.

Here, ambassadors are chosen by the foreign ministery.
Also, ambassadors need to have some kind of experience that could be seen as relevant to upholding Norway's interests within that country.

Perhaps Norway is small enough or politically in line enough with the plutocrats that they don't bother with underhanded tactics to bend your country to their will. Most of the big names that make up the global plutocracy are large names in European politics as well, but most nations in the EU never had a bothersome constitution to worry about. This is a global problem, and at this point, large institutions and interest groups hold so much power over this nation that nothing short of a civil war could possibly dislodge it.

I spent some time working as an underwriter for an insurance firm.

Our format for dating is extremely superior for quick office work.

We have over 300 mil. people in this cunt-tree. If you have a database that has records kept in order by dates, birthdates etc., you are going to have a shitload of dates to look up.

This method is the most efficient way to arrange it, it really is. There are many contexts were having it any other way just would not work for how we use them.

When a company etc. here grows large enough to afford to have their own software made specifically for their company, they do it (no matter how shitty it may be). So Excel often takes a back-seat. These in-house programs aren't as functional as Excel.

Also: if you have a bunch of dates lined up, which would be more efficient in a column:
11/27/2017
12/27/2017
or
27/11/2017
27/12/2017

Our formatting keeps them more ordinal and clean-looking.

It's cause people prefer white meat, which is less fat and more fleshy. White meat from boiled chicken tastes awfully dry and fibrous i.e. chicken breasts. I prefer brown meat by far, like the legs and thighs. Cooked right, it tastes great and is a lot cheaper than most meats.

Chicken legs with (dijon aka real) mustard and onions with rice or pasta. Chicken legs Kathmandu style with potatoes and turmeric. Chicken legs with green onions and lemon. Use a lot of grease in cooking and never overcook.

I dunno why white meat is so popular, though I don't complain since that means more brown meat for me.

I'm well aware of that. It just further muddles the illusionary choice between the two evils each individual is typically offered.

we have more than two parties. it's not necessarily the system's fault, it's a divided populace. also india's voting system is a CLUSTERFUCK in its own way. ours takes a while because there are technically multiple elections. each party gathers a group of possible candidates, elects one to run, and then after that one of them is elected president. it's a slow but steady situation, again the only real flaw is the proportions of electoral college voters per state, otherwise it'd be one of the best representative democracies in the world. we wouldn't have trump right now for example

Why would that have affected the election? Hillary was still one of the worst candidates to run on a major ticket in decades.
>>

How is this not a flaw?
>>
>>78893206
she won the popular vote, in a true representative democracy without any proportional flaws in the electoral college you wouldn't be able to lose after winning the popular vote. california doesn't have proportionally as many electoral votes as many other smaller red states for example

then dipshit republicans will be all like
>WELL GOOD! THAT'S HOW IT OUGHTTA BE WE CAN'T BE RULED BY THE TYRANNY OF THE MAJORITY
>>
>>78893355
No electoral college would just mean candidates focus on high population states, it would mean nothing different other than that elections would be decided by California rather than Florida.

>>
Every election since 2000 that Democrats lose, they whine about how unfair the electoral college is or someone cheated. Pay it no heed.
>>
>>78893829
>And then there is the question of senators
All states get two.

Electoral votes are the number of Congressmen per state plus the two Senators. This means the minimum EVs a state can have is three.
>>
>>78893831
Trump is literally still whining how he supposedly won popular vote, but those damn Dems cheated with votes! If that is not bitching, I don't know what is. Can only imagine, what infernal squeaking Rebs would rise if they lost due the flawed system even once.

>>
>>78893987

Huh.
>>
>>78894111
More like four.
>>
Originally, the Senate was a mostly ceremonial body like the House of Lords and Senators were chosen by state legislatures, the House had more prestige. In 1913, it was changed so that Senators were elected by direct popular vote.

The Senate is more fluid, it changes party control frequently while the House due to its large number of seats can remain under the control of the same party for decades (eg. the 40 continuous years of a Democrat House between Eisenhower and Clinton).

Back when they were admitted as states in 1889, Bismarck and Pierre were the only significant population centers and they were 170 miles from each other so it was decided to make two states instead of one. Because that's only one brand of chocolate that can be avoided simply by not purchasing said brand of chocolate.

Hershey's Chocolate Bars along with some other things like Lil Debbie Snack Cakes were originally invented as a cheap snack food for unemployed people during the Depression.
>>
>>78896100
>that's only one brand of chocolate
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hershey_bar
>The process is a company and trade secret, but experts speculate that the milk is partially lipolyzed, producing butyric acid, which stabilizes the milk from further fermentation. This flavor gives the product a particular sour, "tangy" taste which the US public has come to associate with the taste of chocolate, to the point that other manufacturers often add butyric acid to their milk chocolates

Female circumcision was legal in the US until 1996. It was recommended for girls with large clitorises from the early 1900s to the 70s. It was even covered by blue cross until the 70s.
