Well, I think they actually make them like that because disasters are so common in some regions it is cheaper to let them get destroyed and build another one than building a brick/block house. Also, while a block house and others would resist more a storm or what not they are not indestructible, the main frame could still remain after a disaster but the house could still be so fucked you have to take everything down and build another one.

Here everything is built earthquake proof, but a tornado or whatever can still fuck up the infrastructure.

We're approaching third world levels of material inequality and infrastructure thanks to our two Neoliberal political parties. America is fast becoming a fainter, tamer version of France in the 1780s or Russia before the 1905 revolution. Politics are getting nastier, as the radical left is exploding and the shrinking right becomes far more belligerent.

I have a few friends that come from families with tens of millions of dollars (I myself am a poorfag)...The have started to move abroad. They swear to me the world economy is going to collapse soon...and the US will become the 3rd world shit hole it has been trying to become for the last 20 years. One with such inequality that you can never escape.

My friend that moved to Sweden 2 years ago has begged me to move with him before it is too late.

1 year ago I started a master's degree program in preparation to move abroad, before this country goes belly up, I hope.

I have 1 to 1.5 years left before I finish it and move, I am hoping I will immigrate to Iceland. Then I will watch the West die from the comfort of my frozen volcanic island.

Everyone here has a feeling that bad things are going to happen soon; we've hit an event horizon.

I was reading about architecture (don't ask. i got drunk and start to read), and those kind of constructions really became popular during the great recession and the baby boom.
People needed affordable houses, and the "pre assembled" where a good solution. The lack of good masons due the war also make things worse.
