Americans are always wildly confused when people here ask them how they endure all the violence and craze in their country until they find out that almost all American documentaries are either about the CIA, serial killers like BTK or Ross Kemp documentaries alá "hardest prison of the US of A"

We have like 2 broadcasting networks who broadcast stuff like this 24/7 with some hitler documentaries inbetween.

For the most part it makes them more entertaining. Ill take a little dramatization and rock music in the background during my historical documentaries as long as they are accurate. However, when it comes to nature documentaries bbc has us beat by a long shot and by no small part because of that 1 guy that voices all of them.
