Why do Arabs and Indians smell so distinct?

Different Arabs smell differently. so does different classes. Gulf Arabs smell like Frankincense, Levantines smell like vinegar, Egyptians smell like cigarettes and I don't know about north Africans.
Desis here smell like some sort of weird herb but I'm not fond of that smell.
