An Israeli security company called Magna BSP was hired by TEPCO one year before the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. Their contract was to improve security and surveillance at the complex. As part of that, a number of cameras (pic related) were installed around the complex. Some notably within the reactor containment vessels themselves.

The cameras, each weighing hundreds of kilograms, were manufactured at an Israeli military base in the town of Dimona. Dimona also being home to the Negev Nuclear Research Center which is widely believed to be an integral part of the Israeli nuclear weapons program.

Additionally, an internet connection linking the Fukushima Daiichi complex to Magna BSP headquarters was installed without TEPCO's knowledge, and was only discovered after the disaster had occurred.
