I can trill easily but I just can't make it sound like an R. It would seem forced and unnatural if I was saying a Spanish word and I can't adequately transition from letter to rolled R

There are some words that without the R being rolled would sound like other word, but based on the rest of the phrase people would know what are you talking about. And also people don't expect that Chinese and other asians roll the Rs, so unlike OP, no one is going to make fun of you.
