The poetry alone is worth it
Not too hard with practice/study
They all speak their own dialect and you'll probably learn the academic arabic so sometimes speaking with others will be confusing.
Learning the alphabet or how to write as a beginner isnt that hard. The hardest part is trying to read something you can't understand because most of it requires knowing words. They write without the vowels so if you dont know if a word ftt or doesnt fit youre fucked.
You see something that reads halal, hilil or houloul. But its halal, and you can only be sure if you know it already or if the vowels have been put on the letters. But vowels are for children
Sentences are very different. Linking words to create a sentence is confusing because everything depends on who you speak to and your sex.

What would be the hardest part?
If you want to learn a language spoken by hardcore xenophobes, you might as well learn japanese. The arabic world is pretty much completely inaccessible to people who don't have arabic heritage.

Well if English is your first language everything would be hard like the different grammar, the root system and the many words and knowing which ones to use in which situation. if you learn formal Arabic you'll be able to speak with everyone from morocco to oman but if you learn a specific dialect it'll be easier. except the iraqi one it's hard as fuck
