Teaching french there is super hard, you have to do a specific master degree and even with this you are not sure to find a job because as you said demand is low and recently Korean government started to give teacher jobs to Koreans speaking french. Well, that's cuz it's hard to find a job in Korea for almost a decade, especially decent paying jobs ($3000+ USD/month). So government is trying to cut down jobs for non-nationals.

However, I just find it weird to have Koreans to teach all those non-Korean languages even within Korea. It simply is the worst way for students to learn those languages.

Between, I think it might be possible that demand for French teachers will increase in a very near future in 학원 because immigration to Quebec is getting more popular in Korea and they need French to do so

I find it hard to believe that they can't find decent jobs, that's why they say but their growth is still important and the employment quite high, also, all my foreigner friends with good qualifications found jobs quite easily without even speaking Korean. I think the government cut is just a populist measure, it's not like replacing a few teacher jobs would change anything to the market. And yes it's ridiculous for the students, the teachers I had a chance to talk to could barely handle a conversation in english and would make mistakes in almost every sentences when texting. But it's not like Japanese/Koreans cared about efficiency concerning language learning.

For finding a decent job, foreigners and Koreans are in a different position in that Koreans are much more looking for positions like civil officers or other jobs in public sector. (income isn't that different from private sector and those jobs have good retirement benefit and guarantee retirement in 65. those public sector jobs are much more scarce than ones in private sector)

Weebs will never cease to amaze me with their unrelenting romanticizing of Japan. The culture (just like all Western states these days) is heavily suppressed behind the routine of everyday modern life. A yukata or a tea ceremony might be cultural, but the average jap absolutely doesn't care about them. In both Korea and Japan I met a fair few people and humorously they all got to a stage where they joked about foreigners being obsessed over their cultures when they themselves hadn't cared for most of their lives. There was almost no perceivable difference in culture for me when I visited both places, mainly because I didn't go looking for it. Only difference was the food. Jap food was so bland and tasteless compared to the Korean's that I'd honestly be scared to visit it again purely because of it.
