Why so many adult brazilians wear braces ?

brazilians are pretty concerned about their own appearance. i think we are the largest consumers of cosmetics in the world.

but the public healthcare here doesn't cover orthodontics, only extraction, filling the tooth, root canal therapy and these stuffs. orthodontics here, in gerenal, only in private healthcare.

many people here don't have money to afford the orthodontic therapy in the youth. so when they grew up and get business healthcare, they start the treatment.

i'm 24 and i still wear braces. i started when i was 18. it's been a couple of months since the last time i attended to the dentist clinic. i graduated and, therefore, lost the right of use the bussiness healthcare of my father.

the 2nd generation, sometimes their parents were too poor to buy braces when they were young, so they get them when they're older.
