this is a myth though. vast majority of the poor are immigrants imo, and the vast majority of immigrants are poor. most balkans people for example i know have war refugee parents.

nah, american culture is way more hostile towards people who want to be seen as different, but it works because they accept you if you show you are willing to "not be different".

result is americans have immigrants that want to be american culturally, while europe has ones that absolutely shun mainstream culture like how ghetto blacks in the US do.

It's only showing poverty rates among "visible minority groups". Of course since most of our recent "visible minority" immigrants are from China and South Asia, they would make up a large proportion of those in poverty.

A better chart would include European groups.
