Having lived both in Medellín and Guatemala City, they're both virtually the same; aesthetic, terrain, and culture wise. I don't have a problem living in any of them as long as I don't get into bad neighborhoods, but to be honest it isn't top tier at all. It's decent, lush, and very green which is always great. But it isn't the best city in LatAm. It still has plenty problems, and feels more like it's on the cozy small city side of things.

The best city title belongs to the glorious Ciudad Juárez, obviously.
