It happened when I was in elementary school, they announced it during the recess, and there were talks of a very possible big war and such. I came back home to watch the news showing the faces of Bin Laden, Bush, CGI missiles being launched while talking about Nostradamus in an apocalyptic fashion.

Felt pretty surreal when I was a kid. But I didn't thought much about it.

It's literally only a few people. Rest of the world thinks in terms of genocides and millions of dead people. That US made such a hissy fit over fucking nothing and then helped ethnically cleanse innocent countries, while putting radioactive waste into bullets to dispose of them while shooting kids only shows that US really is the great Satan and deserves a quick death, 9/11 more like who the fuck cares, also American overreaction is funny as fuck.

yeah it was only a few people, and compared to other events it was nothing.

But how do you expect your country would react if some muslim terrorist organization attacked a major building in your countries most populace city?
And it killed over 2000 people and costs tens of millions of dollars in damage.

Any country would go to war over something like that.
Just look at how France responded to the Paris attacks last year, they increased their bombing of ISIS ten-fold.
>>
>>78648852

>>
>>78648963
>they increased their bombing of ISIS ten-fold.
Please go to Syria general and tell them this. Then come back and post reactions.

If that happened, best case scenario we split Bosnia with Serbs. Worst case scenario we genocide muslims at home. Both is good. Neither is invading China and duping our radioactive waste there.

also you need to understand Raqqua is an American project to dismantle Syria by giving as much as possible to Kurds. France didn't plan shit, only did what US told them. Nor did they fight ISIS, but liberated US designated Kurdistan.
It was also a symbolic PR move because Raqqa is only now being assaulted for real.

It's very tragic to be fair, hard to comprehend for a terrorist attack. That said the US didn't make many friends in Britain dragging us into Iraq in the following years (even if it was a pre-existing political project).

That said I think people feel for the human loss but don't see it in terms of an attack on all of us if you understand. Like for Americans it was personal, an attack on your way of life and national spirit, for us it was a similar feeling as a national disaster somewhere across the sea.
>>
I was too young to remember it. A friend of my Dad's from college died in it though.
>>
>>78647052
Rating the level of tragic on a scale of 1-11, I'd say 9/11.
>>
>>78647052
My father was there, but luckily he wasn't hurt. I won't say that it's the worst tragedy in human history but, if a group decides to conduct themselves like that and direct it at the greatest military power in the world, it should expect nothing less than decades of war and no respect for their lives. I'm talking about terrorist organizations, of course.
>>
>>78647865
Err, not even close to top 10.
>>
>"airport security is always going to be a drag now"
>>
>>78649069
Logically then, the lives lost in 911 don't matter either.

Now I'm not one to tickle a Muslim's balls, but Iraq did most certainly not deserve the shitshow they got after 9/11, even if they are Muslim. In any case, Muslim extremism has gotten worse since the invasion of Iraq and much of that American supported.
>>
>>78647463
literally every country in the world has declared war on germany at some point

and we had bombings with far more dead than 2000 people, mostly by americans. so it wasn't all that impressive.
>>
>>78651195
An excuse to kill even more Muslims is a bad thing?
>>
>>78651265
Yeah, if it means the destabilisation of their countries, the growth of radical Islamic groups even as the moderate ones and other minorities (such as Christians and Yazidis) to go into decline, if it leads to a massive refugee crisis and and if it gives them all the more reason to hate the West.
>>
>>78651265

If you are gonna be like that then dont be sharting and crying about 9/11

This is why nobody cares
>>
>>78647052
>happened in a country I don't care about
>people I don't care about died
>buildings I didn't care about fell down
>the videos of it look cool
>we got to skip advanced math and geography class the day after
>spent the evening playing video games with my best friend and got my first kiss (best friend was female)

Unironically a good experience for me.
Just can't be arsed to feel sorry about people I don't know.
Didn't even feel sad when people got killed 3 minutes from where I live by a truck this year..
It's just meh.
>>
>>78651585
That's the difference between the USA and you faggots

Americans: kill every Muslim man woman and child; use every terror attack as an excuse to murder more Muslims. Most of us enjoy watching women and children die the most. Us here in Kentucky cheered watching kids get gassed in Syria

Europeans: take them in and try to keep them as part of society

Enjoy your terror attacks.

This.

America got hit for fucking around in the middle east, it's only a matter of time before something like this happens again.

It was tragic but even more tragic was the Yanks doing exactly what osama wanted. Youve made the middle east an international catastrophe that has endangered the entire world. You've gone full fucking retard about shitting your pants at the thought of them there muslim terrorisers while your own country descents into chaos. It's funny that people in Europe think it was a tragedy 100 times worse than actual people in America think it was.

I personally believe it was an inside job to justify further military involvement in the Middle East. It was just too convenient to be true. And the US government actually considered carrying out false flag operations like that in the past, so it's not really a far fetched possibility at all.

My math teacher at the time was teaching trig and he made up a heap of print outs with building and plane diagrams.
There was also a version of that 'London Bridge Is Falling Down' song being joked about, replacing the lines with "New York towers are falling down, falling down[...]"

Looking back on the event it was rather horrific and a shame that they didn't instead manage to take out the Congress building and the White House. Random innocent citizens didn't deserve to die.

It's funny how we care more about terror attacks in Europe than Europeans do

Funny because we do all the dying when we fight terrorism in the Middle East

Not for long. The way America is carrying on they're teetering very close towards civil war and a civil war in a world power is a very dangerous thing. As soon as every other country see's a weakened America they'll attack in a bid to gain more power. Remember: America has no real allies.

Americans deserved it, they've killed tens of millions and still do, they just brainwash you into believing that it is normal, legal and ok. They're dropping bombs on civilians in 7 countries at this very moment, not assassinating terrorists via special ops or assassinating fascist dictators: dropping bombs en masse on civilian populations. The American war machine gets a 9-11 in murders of civilians every month- 6 weeks or so, and that is only counting their direct involvement and not through their proxies (Israel, Saudi Arabia, NATO). Islam is shit and ao on but Americans really do deserve death; besides they're terrible, stupid, ugly and altogether annoying people, their influence on the world is entirely negative

The sept. 11 attacks, much like pearl harbor, were allowed to happen by the US government as an excuse to enter into a war to make money for the military-industrial complex.
