I blame the soda and sugary coffees. There are people that eat relatively normally and then double their calorie intake with those.
Also chicano food is even more insane than the typical American meal.

Less flour-based food in the diet, more meat. All the flour stuff is calorie dense as fuck and it's the only thing you eat when the shop shelves are empty.
