日本人はどれぐらい漢字の意味が分かる?
一番好きな漢字は?
もちろん、音読みと訓読みがあるので読み方がちょっと難しいけど意味の分かることがあまり難しくないですね。
そういえば、朝鮮語と中国語の場合は普通と言うと各漢字の発音が一つの発音がありますよね。
あんまり朝鮮語と中国語を話せないから英語で質問を聞きます。
So, for Chinese and Korean speakers, generally there is only one pronunciation for Character right? Not entirely sure about Korean or Traditional Chinese for that matter, but i heard in Mandarin that there is usually one way to say a character.
If you're a Korean Speaker or Chinese speaker, how many characters do you actively know? Of course it has to be an estimation. For me, being a native English speaker who has never had formal Kanji/character study, i'd say i know about 1000 within the context of words, and only about 400 in the context of plain meaning.
