How is antifa viewed in your country?
In the states, a lot of people view them as violent commies, but I younger age groups, people think they're doing the right thing.
>>
>>78554989
most people here have no idea who they are
>>
Define antifa
All of the left and most young people opposes fascism in Spain, but very few are batshit crazy violent retards against conservatives
>>
I'm an anti-fascist but I'm certainly not going to join antifa. A lot of them are violent thugs the same as the nazis. It's like a rerun of the 1920s with shit cunts on both sides battling in the streets.
>>
>>78555036
People who actively protest and pursue fascists and Nazis would be the best answer I would assume
>>
>>78554989
They're associated with black blocks, so people think they are the socialist variety of violent soccer hooligans.
>>
>>78555086
They have been gaining a but of popularity before the showdown in Virginia, but ever since then a lot of people have been taking sides. It's hard for me to get behind the group though. Mostly the "if you're not with us, you're against us!" mentality that I see from supporters.
>>
>>78554989
btw your mom was racist as hell
she only love to be fucked by asian
>>
"normal" people protesting for fair healthcare/education/pensions
>>
The more violence antifa commits the more it radicalizes people who are more right leaning and ostracizes moderates from the far left, so I like it.
>>
disliked all across the board even by people who oppose the ideas represented by quasi-fascist groups like ONR.

Antifa really ruined any sense of image they had previously by inviting their german antifa colleagues to our independence march. And the German antifa started wrecking shit in Warsaw, the police got heavily involved and resulted in a massive shitshow.

This.
This is how Germany wound up with Hitler.
Out of control commie terrorists rioting in the streets and taking over.
There is no ultra-rightwing problem here but there will be.
You're going to get your boogeyman because the average person isn't an upper middle class 20 year old idealist recently exposed to some repackaged version of shithole communism wanting to over throw the country because they are living in their moms basement instead getting all the money and pussy they think they deserve for some reason.
They are just half assed terrorists too wrapped up in their own self righteousness and delusions of grandeur to see they are the same idiots who brought about the worst regimes in history only to be lined up and shot as soon as the big guys took power.
>>
>>78554989
We may have something of a bias but antifa here are looked as the good guys

A ledditors thought:

>I actually think quite the opposite, if anything the Antifa movement has helped the rise of Fascism in the past and is still doing so today. In many ways, they've fundamentally misunderstood why Fascism is on the rise and on an individual scale people turn to Fascism. There are many ways they're actually helping the very thing they're trying to hurt:

>- *Increasing tensions between them and law enforcement.* Despite their justifications behind, "Bashing the Fash" it is still very much illegal to physically assault someone. Antifa and the Far Left in general have become associated with violence and illegal behavior in their riots. Not only are their protestors going to be charged with crimes, possibly incarcerated, and will likely have trouble protesting the future. To make it worse, they are also creating a barrier between themselves and the men with badges. They're going to have a much harder time in general with protests and counter-protests and the law has an easy excuse to crack down on them.

>- *Alienating the Far Left from the moderates.* Whether the Anarchists and Communists like it or not, there are far more moderates than radicals in their movement. While there has been a rise in radicalization, there has been just as many, if not more that have made attempts to denounce and distance themselves from this violence. I have actually had much success in persuading former Socialists and Anarchists to see from a Fascist perspective, multiple said the behavior of Antifa had caused them to sincerely reconsider where they stand. There are many moderates who are advocating for Antifa to be labeled a terrorist organization.

>- *Encouraging Fascists to be more active.* While I'm sure there are some Fascists who've been discouraged from protesting due to fear of personal harm, I've seen a much more overwhelming presence of Fascists who are only emboldened by it. It sort of proves our point whenever we allude to being persecuted. Furthermore, it encourages us to take more initiative to defend ourselves.

>- *Giving Fascism free publicity.* A Fascist march and/or protest is not nearly as newsworthy as a Fascist march and/or protest that ends in several people injured by Antifa. The media has a field day with the ensuing controversy, and Fascists get a spot in the news. It gives us the image of being persecuted. Not to mention in general it makes more people aware of us.

>- *Allowing justification for government intervention.* As the Far Left becomes more violent, the government sees them as a more significant threat than Fascists. There is already serious talk of shifting the anti-terrorist focus to groups associated with Antifa. Overall, it's going to be much harder for Antifa in the future. Not to mention, if things get violent enough that the govt. can't handle, there's going to be a demand for vigilantism which, as history has shown, comes in the form of paramilitaries, often Fascist ones.

>They're fundamentally misunderstanding why people become Fascists. A lot of people who've turned to Fascism come from working class areas, even lower class areas who are negatively affected by multiculturalism and postmodernism in general. Ironically, they're attacking the people they claim to defend and advocate for. Believe it or not, violence doesn't really change people's minds, at best it makes them seek other avenues, at worst it makes them want to push back twice as hard.
>>
>>78556174

>They are making the implicit statement, and many people have interpreted it in this way, that they can't debate Fascism, so they're resorting to intimidation and violence. Don't get me wrong, we still have a lot of work to do, but the Anti-Fascist movement hasn't really hurt our cause in the long run, if anything it has helped it. It's shifted the overton window's position on Fascism, it's alienated them from any additional support they could receive, it has made us relevant in the mainstream, and it makes it easier to justify combating them.

As a bunch of hairy whiny faggots. Lot of people think PR is full of liberals and lefties, reality is that they're only a really loud small minority. If PR voted on the presidential elections the republicans would win here most of the time.
>>
>>78558339
But republicans fuck up your state the most,no?
>>
>>78558379

We're not a state. Both parties have fucked us economically with laws since 1900. Especially the Jones Act (1917) which doesn't let ships from other countries come here and thus limiting our business opportunities with other countries. This Act is the major reason why PR is so expensive to live in.
>>
>>78554989
A bunch of drug addled NEETs who just wanna smash shit for fun while pretending to be serving some kind of greater good.
>>
>>78559224
>which doesn't let ships from other countries come here and thus limiting our business opportunities with other countries
>made literally 100 years ago
they should uh, look at reform for that
>>
Pretty sure our media are making them out as just normal protesters because of the fuck trump narrative our media is using as its default take on US politics.
