Considering how badly Kerry played, the lack of proper competitive match experience and the glaring problems in the defence, I'm happy.
Kerry badly needed this match time if they are to stand a chance against Dublin, or possibly Tyrone.
Looking forward to next weeks slaughter. Like 2014 all over again, except it won't be in Limerick this time unfortunately. That was a great match filled with memes like your "man" invading the pitch.

Kerry have looked shaky all championship at the back, I think they're the weakest of the remaining 4 and benefited from a very favourable ref today and were pretty lucky to only concede a point from the goalmouth scramble in the first half.
The amount of replays Mayo have had in recent years is approaching meme status though, it feels like about 80% of drawn championship games in the past 3 years have involved them. They really need to be more ruthless when they're on top.

A big part of that was the primary possession being cut off from Mayo from their kickout, which is a very fixable problem.
As well while Geeney and O'Donoghue are class at working scores I thought Kerry were struggling to get the ball inside with Donaghey being cut off in the air, both their goals came from Mayo mistakes rather than being able to break down the defence.

Guilty. I often feel refs conspire against Mayo when they play Dublin or Kerry.

There's a degree of luck in those situations between the bounce of a ball and where a rebound lands. The Kerry keeper made a save and parried it to a Mayo player resulting in a point. Clarke did the same in the Mayo goals and it led to a goal. I felt fortune favoured Kerry today in incidents like that.

I don't agree with their assessment on Aidan O'Shea to fullback at all. He completely eliminated the aerial threat of a player who had been a thorn in their side in the past and was their primary route of attack the last day against Galway.
Just because he got few nice touches from dropping deep or wide doesn't negate the fact that Kerry weren't allowed to operate their plan A.

Eliminated the aerial threat but he still got plenty of ball, more so than usual I would say, and Kerry still got goals and racked up a large score.
Plus the amount of space O'Shea gave him was ridiculous at times and cost Mayo a number of scores. A proper defender would never have given him the space, like they highlighted during the match analysis where they showed Dublin defenders closing him down.
I've always thought Donaghy was ineffective during most matches but the the last two games he has been a fairly key player.
We'll see if the Mayo management thought it was effective if they decide to play him there again next week.

He got plenty of ball but generally only when he was drifting away from goal and never in danger areas. Remember Donaghy's involvement for the 2nd goal was because Aidan was out of position after someone kicked the ball straight into touch while he was waiting for it out wide. Donaghy seems to be in the form of his life at the moment as well so it's more a case of damage limitation than nullifying him.
I saw the Dublin clip and thought they were borderline fouling in many of those instances but refs seem to let it go. Either way the big problem is Mayo don't really have a good defender at fullback, they normally play Ger Cafferkey whos often quite error prone and isn't very strong in the air so I think they'll wind up playing somebody out of position, Vaughan was there in the previous game and Higgins in some others.

The panel seemed to tip Mayo for the replay, not sure how to feel about that.
