geraldo geraldes was a portuguese mercenary.
He took several moor fortresses in alentejo and extremadura (spain), most notably, Evora and Badajoz.

He was apointed governor of Evora as a reward for his achievements for the portuguese crown, but ended up being exiled to modern morroco due to intrigues, where he was also apointed governor of a town and later executed for calling in a portuguese excursion (which never happened because the mensage was intercepted)
