Real ale is served at cellar temperature, which is below room temperature. Any colder and the beer starts losing its flavour. It's not CO2 enriched like keg'd beers.
Plus, it's more of an old man thing. CAMRA try to push real ales as hip and cool, but it never catches on with the young crowd. Real ale can be quite nice, but I personally prefer Keg.

All young people round these parts drink warm ale because they're not faggots. It gets you sloshed quickly and tastes delicious and hearty. Keg beer just burns your throaght and makes you piss like a horse.
