Do you guys have the word "foss" from us? Here's a foss in Norway.

You probably inserted it into our language when you RAPED MY ANCESTORS!
But yes we have lots of words from lots of languages

A ""glacier"" in our tallest volcano. It probably already melted, sadly.

I'm not even mad, senpai, just envious.
>>78387978
Norway has an unnecessarily large amount of land for it's population.
They should give some to the UK
>>78387978
The US has some of the best landscapes in the entire planet.
The rocky mountains, the Arizona dessert, the grand canyon, the colorado river.
>>78388014
I think it's more like the UK has an unnecessarily large population for its landmass, tbqh. Nothing against you bongs or anything, there are just too many people in general.
>>78388061
b-but only 2% of our land is actually build upon :3
>>78388037
Yeah the western US is pretty awesome, it's true. You named a couple of my favorites, and the Cascade range in Washington/Oregon is another.
posting japan since there's nothing worth posting from my country

>>78392188
I took mine with a Nexus 4... same deal
Shame the camera is shit
>>78386635
>>78391948
Most professional photos are edited to some degree, doesn't mean the photographers want to lie to you, and doesn't mean we can't enjoy them. I personally make a habit of posting pictures I know haven't been edited much (to a degree that it is misrepresented).
>>78392188
>>78392340
I took this myself too without editing.
>>78392541
I had some really nice photos on my new phone but then it decided to commit sepuku so I only have what's left on this old one...
>>78392761
I have quite a few on mine too. I'm going to buy a proper camera because on landscape photos, which is my thing, mobile cameras just won't do.

>>78393467
Is skiing in Romania cheap? I might consider it for my next holiday
>>78393529
Yes. Its relatively cheap since we are not as wealthy as other western nations but not dirt poor.
Check out Poiana Brasov (sky resourt) and Brasov (medieval city).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alw5z9ypyHU
>>78393529
I would think everything in any east European cunt is cheap by west European or American standards. Seems like a fantastic place for vacation. Or holiday, as you guys so cutely refer to it.
>>78393529
I'd like that too, but I never go travelling for the purpose of skiing when I do that every winter here at home. Some places would be nice to visit for that purpose tho.
Pic related, ski touring or "hiking with skis" is the best skiing there is. And you do it for free (obviously you must pay for your own gear if you don't have it). It's only a short flight away, James.
>>78393727
>>78393727
The fjords look fucking amazing.
>>78393687
Thanks for the suggestions
>>78393716
Yeah I was in Prague this January and it was lovely and cheap, two course meal with a beer cost ~$7
>>78393727
>here at home
All we have here is a few shitty ones in Scotland :(
I've never tried hiking with skis but I'll be sure to try it one day
>>78393885
Nice, man. An American friend of mine did foreign study in London for a year like 10-15 years ago, and took some time off during that time to travel around Europe, and he said all things considered, Prague was his favorite city he visited.
>>78394039
>London
Wew he could go pretty much anywhere outside of Scandanavia and it would seem cheap compared to there
I've got a bit of a hard on for Eastern Europe at the moment, got a trip booked to Krakow next Month and Budapest in October
>>78393825
Yeah I'm used to them but even so when I'm hiking up the tops I never become blasé about them. Something about looking down at fjords and mountain tops that is just very pleasing to the eye.
>>78393885
Post more scotland then, you have some very nice nature.
About ski touring, it's actually pretty easy, here we learn it in elementary school. I still remember when we were forced up a mountain top on ski, and then a blizzard occurred and I started crying.
>>78394107
I don't think London was as bad back then as it is now, but yeah. I don't know what his living arrangements were. Probably shared a small space with other people, as a student, I would guess. As for Scandinavia, isn't it just Norway that's super expensive? Sweden and Denmark are much more reasonable, I think? Maybe I'm wrong.
>>78394195
Its probably the duality of the rugged shape of the mountains and clear calm flat look of the ocean.
>>78394195
Loch Lomond
>>78394244
I was in Denmark in April and I can say while Norway may be more expensive Denmark is still very expensive, I was paying about $12 for a "large" beer
Thank you all for the comfy thread. Bye
>>78394107
>>78394244
London is more expensive than Norway, I think, with the exception of Oslo. Maybe I'm wrong.
Norway in general is more expensive than Sweden and Denmark, about 20% more expensive I think.
>>78394418
You need to find a better place for beer than that, I can pay either 12.50 one place, or 4.00 another place. It all depends. You went to a very expensive bar.
Wow that place in your pic is very nice.
Just came back from nz, ama
>>78394583
I'll confess that was in the Hostel bar but even when I went out to local bars and restaurants it seemed a similar price
I tell you what I never really thought of Denmark as a "beer country" but damn they've got some tasty stuff over there
The Large Millimeter Telescope above the "Sierra Negra" volcano.
>>78394693
Yes Denmark actually produces a lot of good beer. Carlsberg is one of the most famous ones, but not at all the best one (imo). Here in Norway we have Hansa beer, and Ringnes (now Carlsberg owns them tho), and of course various of micro brewery beer.
>>78394990
In my humble opinion Carlsberg is a bit shit
I was trying some of the craft beers
>>78395098
Yeah, I never drink carlsberg. Tuborg is better if I want something danish. Do you produce any good beer in Scotland?
>>78394990
>>78395098
I think Carlsberg is quite good for a big commercial beer. My favorites are Warsteiner and Pilsner Urquell, but of course those aren't Danish. The best shit anywhere is going to be the micro shit though.
>>78395251
I think you may have misinterpreted my post higher up, I'm actually from England I just meant Scotland is the only place we can ski.
To answer your question though the "Brewdog" brewery is very famous and produces some very nice beers
>>78395324
>Pilsner Urquell
Not a fan of Pilsners but I can see how it would suit the American pallet since they're kinda similar to the mass produced stuff over there
>>78395324
Where are you from Ameribro and why aren't you contributing with awesome american landscape pictures?
>>78395367
I beg your pardon then. Where in England?
>>78395464
Up North in West Yorkshire
Low-res unfortunately, but this is the view across my hometown. The tall mountain in the background is the tallest German mountain, the Zugspitze.
>>78396184
I skied the Zugspitze and had Strudel there... decent strudel if I recall

I see. It looks really nice.
