Why are Italians so great at making movies? I realized that the whole glory of Hollywood was basically made by italians. Kinda like the Germans gave them the tech to get to the moon. Americans are hacks

Italians were prominent in the early decades of cinema and sure we spawned great directors, but not many of them worked in or with Hollywood to be honest

Italians didn't have much to do in Hollywood other than Hollywood stereotyping Italians as mobsters. American depiction of Italians is nothing like Italian cinema. Maybe the depiction of their corrupt politician, but not much else I don't think.
