I served 21 months as a army and now I'm a civilian. My experience in army was boring as fuck and really impotent. How was your time in Army?
>>
It lasted an entire day
Really tiring
>>
Here is a lot of fun.
>>
>>78332805
You get to bully each other and have your commander bully you to exhaustion
>>
>>78332753
wasnt conscripted. currently in the air force tho
>>
>>78332753
No, it was useless and in the early 90s it got removed because some officers killed a conscript in a dangerous intiation game.

Honestly, I'm glad I didn't have to do it, there are some retards trying to bring it back but it is not gonna happen.

kek, you actually did the weekend thing?
>>
I was in the Royal guard for a year, i stood infront of the castle looking at chinese ming-mings with big cameras.

Then they would ask me "prrease, pictar" and i would nod. Then 20 of them would come out of nowhere and huddle around me.

>I once had to chase a crackhead away from the royal garden.

>A lot of mentally ill people would claim they were the king and demanded to be let inside the castle.

>A crazy woman walked up to me with her dog, put the leash on my shoulder and asked me to shoot her.
>>
>>78332753
what was your schedule for these 21 months?
>>
>>78333596
Tell me about this last one
>>
>>78332753

>Hear some shouting about jesus christ our lord and savior coming closer and closer.
>I radio it in, shit's about to go down

>She calms down as she approaches me

>Puts the leash on my shoulder, tiny dog.

>"Boy, i'm tired of living with these demons in my head. Please shoot me"

>"no"

>"Please shoot me now, i demand it"

>"No"

>I slowly take the leash off me and gesture for her to take it

>She grabs it, spits on the ground near me and huddles off shouting down the road.
>>
>>78332753
I didn't do my conscription, because I had better use for my time.

Most people agree that it was a kindergarten for adults that tought you fuck all.

The graduating process in a bit shitty since you have to spend 5 years on a constant internate state, studying and training.

But Exercices are always fun since it gathers most academies and everyone must operate together.

If you get medically discharged they put you into the far end of the reserve and in first case civil service during the possibility of war. Runners naturally will be treated as traitors to the country and will face harsh punishments and distrust form society till their death.

I didn't do shit for a whole year. I did 'security' at a recruit school in a major city. We weren't even armed except for special occasions maybe 5 times a year in total. Most of my time went to eating kebab and watching Netflix.
Also we had 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. We also had room inspection only once a week, maybe once every two weeks in the end. All in all a fun but useless year

9 months of wasted time that I could've spent studying or working. The whole 9 month experience could be compressed into a ~2 month package. Especially the last 3 months were the worst. Here's a typical day during my last 90 days :

>wake up
>breakfast
>free time until lunch
>lunch
>free time until dinner
>dinner
>free time until nighty nighty

Literally NO service at all apart from eating (it's considered as service). Having a lot of free time sure is nice but it gets pretty boring after a while. Most of it was spent playing sports, playing vidya games (NHL in particular was very popular in the barracks!), reading books etc.

I dodged compulsory conscripted thanks to being short-sighted.

Feels good man.
>>
>>78332753
Conscription was reintroduced this year, and I got a letter saying I was required to fil in a form. From that they decide who they are going to bring into examination, and from that they decide who they are going to conscript. Not that many in each batch, but everybody was pretty excited as we were gonna be the first year conscripted for over a decade. Actually I had done a preperatory course for what basic military training was like during the summer a year before.

I didn't get called in though. Guess my own estimated strenght and endurance, plus my listed psychological diagnosis, made them think I wouldn't be what they were looking for. Kind of sad, I suppose. Although it does mean that I can leave for uni a year before I would otherwise be able to.

9 months, military police.
We were kind of doing something that constitutes as actual work every other week (guard duty).

Navy is navy. Coastal forces are ground forces who specialize in fighting on the coast.
Their activities include things like defending against ships and enemy landings and doing landings themselves

Navy is on boats having gay sex, coast guard is on boats without weapons and has much more gay sex and costal forces are for shooting up the enemies boats from land (involves no gay sex)

There are historical reasons behind that part.
During colonial era our status is protectorate so bongs can't just grab random village men and make them work the plantations and mines instead they flood changs and pajeet till peninsula is 60% immigrant and Singapore full chinese, divide and rule stuff. Then in 1948 they want to shove all immigrant problems on us and jus soli but it was refused until compromise comes in the form of giving citizenship and vernacular education in return for native special rights hence the need for that part.
Before you complain racism that is the only way to make people grudgingly accept 60% immigrant population while said immigrant forms most of the gommie terrorists beheading and gunning down locals.
Multiculturalism was a mistake.

One doesn't but you have to try out once you meet their joining prerequisites. I tried out for the most elite aviation unit(flight concepts) and we had to go on a long ruckmarch, swim a long ways in our uniform and then do a physical fitness test. No one from my brigade passed when I was there and actual SOF guys have it way harder.

I dreamt of becoming a career military when I was 18, which was back in 2009. I was part of one of the very few last people who were called to do conscription tests. A decade or so before my time 100 % of males had to do a year in the army, now only 5-10 % did it, and I wanted to be one of those guys so it was somewhat hard to get a spot.

I got a spot as a grunt (urban warfare soldier) because of my mediocre results, but I was happy. Anyway, one month before "boot camp" started my then arab girlfriend decided to shoplift at a local supermarket when I was besides her -> guard caught her -> told me I could go -> she started crying and asked me to stay -> police took us both, I didnt have the heart to put it all on her -> got kicked out of my military service.

Thanks arab ex GF.
