C^a cycle between window on the left 100%,50%,33%,66%
C^d cycle between window on the right 50%,33%,66%
C^w put window in top-right corner
C^s put window in centre occupying the size of a 720p vĂdeo
S^l send window to bottom of all others
S^r bring window to top of all others
C^S^v open mpv video with the link on the clipboard (works for youtube and other video sites)
C^S^b open a chromium window in app mode (borderless) with the link on clipboard
And a bunch of others. I made my own WM scripts based on the old subtleWM when it stopped being developed. I use it on top of gnome3 (with most animation shit deactivated) because that's usually easy to install on any distro and I have to use a couple at work.

All those C^w/a/s/d should be C^S^w/a/s/d
For Cyrillic character input
A story different from this one?

How difficult is it to get accustomed to vim? Need it primarily for LaTex.
>>78289238
Takes a while.
But LaTeX and other visual shit is one of the few things where an IDE like TexStudio or something works better, since you can check your changes more quickly.
>>78292525
Problem with texstudio/texmaker is that it starts lagging at around 5k lines, but they are comfy. Might give vim a shot anyway.
>>78292699
Vim is not hard, it's just weird at first.
Definitely worth learning, and very very flexible. But I really wouldn't use it for Tex.
If it's lagging for you, it's probably not the text, but the images. Try lowering the resolution or just using placeholders while you're editing other parts.
When I was writing my thesis, I commented out every chapter except the one I was writing for keeping compile times down as well.
If you're using generated figures like tikz, use a tikz editor for faster iteration before committing it to the document.
