On August 9, Japanese sprinter Sani Brown Abdul Hakim raced into the record books at the IAAF World Championships in London, topping legendary racer Usain Bolt to become the youngest-ever finalist in the men’s 200m. The 18-year-old Sani Brown will be 198 days younger than Bolt was when the Jamaican set the previous record of 18 years and 355 days at the 2005 championships in Helsinki, Finland. The Japanese prodigy punched his ticket to the finals with a 20.43 second-place finish in his heat of the semi-finals. The finals will be held on August 10 (August 11 in Japan). (©Jiji)
