Who where /unapologetically anti intellectual/?
Literally never read a book that I wasn't forced to read in school (which I also never read), Philosophy is for fags, caring about history or politics is boring asf and I have no interest in having discussions that go beyond this week's weather.
I can't be the only one here.

And why is ignorance bad? It's not. It's the key to pride, nationalism and God. Without liberal concept of education, foreigners wouldn't be allowed, women would know their place and the men not deluding themselves to think there is anything greater than State and God.

"Anti-intellectual" is silly, but I do agree that most of the importance ascribed to philosophy and progress is unwarranted. Outside of books that contain practical wisdom for a happier life (how-to books, Stoicism, Buddhism), it's mostly just another way to feel good.
