People are upset at Germany over the world wars.
But here is the situation as I find it:
In the early 20th century Germany looked at the world and realized something was deeply wrong.
The Europeans were out there oppressing and colonizing and imperializing people all over the globe.
Thus in order to end this immoral enterprise and deliver true self-government to all the peoples on earth the Germans sacrificed their own well-being to weaken the European stranglehold on those unfortunate souls.
At last, it took two world wars and a little bit of communism to achieve it but today we can say that the old yoke is gone for good and it is thanks to the selfless altruism of one nation: Germany

Whatever...
On a side note, I heard that Sarkozy had a project... Seeing how Germany strived by exploiting its east european neighbors for cheap labor, Sarkozy had the idea that France's only chance was to do the same with North Africa, creating a Mediterranean free market union.
