Why do Europeans travel by train instead of planes?
trains are for distances that are too long to drive but too short for flying

If you lived in connecticut would you take a plane to vermont?
Because 1) everything's closer together there, so therefore 2) they have a working train system.
>>78214956
Because flying is a pain in the ass?
Trains are comfortable and perfect for the distances around here.

We fly from city to city here desu.
I took a plane because it was cheaper (£15 from London to Edinburgh) but a train would have been much cozier than flying a cramped sardine can.

>Ottawa and Washington D.C. are 8 h 56 min drive or 920 km apart
>Washington D.C. and Mexico City are 37 h drive or 3,907 km apart
Assuming there is no traffic

>no metal detectors
>no super long check ins
>departure from the city center and not from an airport, for which you have to spend 15€ just to get there
>comfortable seats
>free to move whenever you want
>watch through the windows beautiful sceneries
>eco-friendly
Jeez I wonder why.

But taking the train can take days as opposed to a few hours for driving

>his "country" is as nig as a mid-sized American city

>taking the train can take days
...what? Unless you're referring to a trip that would be a shitton long even with a car, that's not true at all in Europe. Here from Rome to Milan (about 500km) it takes less than 3 hours, it will take 2 hours and a half once they upgrade the railway. The flight takes about 1h10. Considering the check in, the trip to and from th airports... it really isn't worth it. Planes are often cheaper though.

Nigga what, trains are faster and not limited by roads/traffic.

Americans dont have bullet trains because everytime they sees one they just drop-down and start shooting.
>>78216315
in yurop, we use trains that go 250 kilometer per hour, depending on the type of terrain
Lack of faith. Jesus gave us Americans the airplane because we honored him

I thought amerifats feared the airplane
