Explain this shit to me,you can really understand who your ancestors were or is it just a meme?

There's the Y-DNA haplogroups and mtDNA haplogroups. The first tells you about the genetics of your male ancestral line (father of father of father... of your father) and the other is the same principle on the female side of your ancestry. It doesn't really say anything other than what haplogroups two of your distant ancestors had. You could have a black grandmother on your father's side but you couldn't tell from his haplogroup.

True. Your son can also have an African haplogroup and dark skin even if you are white. Happened to me personally.

My wife explained it as "back-evolution" and pointed that Humans are all from Africa.
It makes a lot of sense if you're educated.

Can you get a second opinion from your wife's boyfriend?

Y-DNA is transmited from father-to-son, thus using both archeology + genetics allow you to link haplogroup(and various clades and sub-clades) to a specific ethnicity
As an example, let's say that two Frankish skelleton are J1a1, then we can be sure that the Franks came from Pannonia where a similar haplogroup was found
Haplogroups are a huge meme actually. They're not very reliable when it comes to determining one's ethnicity. There's Y DNA which you inherit from your father and your father inherited from his male ancestors 322131231231312 years ago. And there's mtDNA which you inherit it from your mother and you know it dates back to 43224234324 BC
