What local chain restaurants do other countries have and what kind of food do they serve?

In my part of the US we have a small chain (4 or so restaurants) of 24 hour diners. They serve breakfast foods, burgers, traditional American fare (turkey dinner, meatloaf, fried chicken, etc.). They're a popular stop for presidential candidates due to being local, traditionally American, and in a politically important state for primary campaigns.

Not a whole lot of chains really, mostly it's just pizzerias. Even small shit towns in the middle of god knows where have like 5 pizzerias.

My town has at least 6 pizzerias (mostly non-chain) withing 3 miles of me and every single one of them is terrible cardboard schlock. We also have a horrendous Americanized Chinese food place, a bad Italian take out place that seems to microwave everything they serve, and an analog but really expensive sushi place. Then there are some sorrows restaurants with a variety of cuisines run by locals that are too old to give a shit about whether the food is any good or about general cleanliness.

I completely understand why chain restaurants have replaced "mom and pop" restaurants. Mom and pop are old and shit at running a business or cooking edible food. At least chains are consistent and relatively clean and well-kept.

Funnily enough the last time I visited Sweden (which was about 6 years ago, so whatever) there was Sushi places around every corner, much like you usually see pizza/kebab joints around here.
