Is it actually?
You don't find it too inconsistent?

the good thing about it its so inconsistent you can vomit word one after another and a sentence is still understandable

English is pretty easy with Spanish being a close second imo
>>78148715
depends on your first language
also how difficult a language is to learn might depend on the availability of ressources / how many natives speakers there are

only sensible answer

the english we're taught is very basic
english might be the only language with the most thought-out/greatest teaching method. every english course is easy to learn (unless it's one of those pedantic "advanced" courses full of sesquipedalian words nobody uses)

I might be biased because I grew up in a commonwealth country but I think its English.

Its pretty fucked up if your native tongue has a clear set of rules and regulations.
For example once you learn the Sinhala language properly you cannot ever be wrong because of clear rules. But even if you master English you can still be wrong because of poor guidelines on grammar/spelling.
A lot of people(most of the time people without any or few exposure to foreign language study) somehow suffer from some common misconceptions, such as: their native language being somehow exceptionally hard, their native language suffers from an unusual amount of irregularity, their native language has an unusual amount of nuance, their native language has an unusual amount of ambiguitiy, their native language language is 'easy to learn but hard to master.
Newsflash: Irregularity, nuance, ambiguity, etc. all exist in every language on the planet.
It depends of how patient you are. You know english can be very complex languange even for native speakers.
