I'm not CIA it's just the likeliest course of the 21st century. It's not guaranteed, of course, there is a chance EU or China or Russia can prevail, though even in the best case only in limited sense, but without some seriously unlikely things happening this will be the American century.

America is massive, stable (Latinos aren't a serious internal threat, especially compared to Muslims in Europe), possessing both resources and the population to maintain their empire unlike the UK which needed a combination of mercantilism and better technology to maintain theirs, has all the money to invest in military and navy for the foreseeable future, has strongly nationalistic population (again, unlike Europe where everyone has already surrendered) etc.

America will prevail. Trust me dude.

Don't see it escalating to anything more than some guy lobbing mortar and rockets at each other then building bunkers to take potshots like WW1 trench warfare. No madman is gonna send 60ton tanks up the himalayas and its too high for some helicopters.
Maybe a few planes got shot and then Bhutan must pick a side that will cuck them. Though a J-7vs MiG-21 plane fight in the himalayas would be something, terrorism and low intensity ground battle is getting boring.
