Norway is not free market as far as I know. Things are pretty controlled.

Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and Scandinavia consistently score within the top 10 of basically every positive metric related to quality of life.
They are objectively the best places on earth to live.

It's not that bad, all provinces guarantee two weeks paid vacation except for Saskatchewan which is 3 weeks.
Ours just doesn't look that good because it's handled at the provincial rather than federal level. This doesn't include anywhere from 5-9 federal and provincial paid statutory holidays (something only Canada and Germany do.)
It's not the Nordic's 25 days, but it's a hell of a lot better than America's 0
