>people in south america kill people for money and/or material things

Both are equally pleb, you should kill for the sake of killing like we do

The later. Dying for a real cause is more honorable.
Unless it's one of those ISIS type people. Those guys suck.

>Real cause
Killing for a fornicating death cult is a real cause to you?
There's nothing wrong with the act of killing until you make a judgement about it. It is a natural act, but morals will debase it, like they debase most things.

>real cause
Causing destruction and death for fairy tales compared to causing narrow destruction and death for personal material benefit. The first does nothing except detract from the world, you kill as a cuck to stories made up by the long-dead. On the other hand, you kill in an attempt to secure prosperity and a future for yourself. Neither are "real causes", that's a meaningless term. You die for yourself or you die for mythological abstractions that exist to bound you to the will of others.
Also, many of the so-called religious fanatics are actually gaining a lot of material things, those encouraging/managing it gain power and material wealth too. For many of the powerless individuals who enter outward fanaticism, material gain is a necessity to escape poverty, for their families and themselves alike.
In most cases, the latter includes the former.
