>Not even one scene of Gwangju citizens using weapons
>Stereotypical old guy realizes he's wrong about the protesters, lost his idealism along the way, blah blah
>Gwangju people depicted as friendly (lol) and honest (hahaha)
>Soldiers are totally dehumanized and depicted as masked jackbooted fascists
>The main villain is cartoonishly stereotypical, likes shouting 빨갱이 and threatening to shoot our twink high school student hero
>White guys can be good guys in leftist movies... if they are reporters shooting video to be used as propaganda against the government
조약: 광주는 폭동, 김대중개새끼
I agree, South Korea was much better under a dictatorship. Look at how well North Korea turned out.
Goksung is one of the best movie i watched those last years

Ok fine General Chun was not a nice person whatever, my point is that this movie was ridiculous propaganda, it's like all Korean history movies have the same repetitive message and they hit you over the head with it like a sledgehammer

You could say that about all Korean movies 2bh. All about crime and revenge n shiet. Akmareul Boatda is still unironically in my top 5 films I've watched though.

광주는 폭동이야... 전두환이 일으킨.
(Police Riot = '
