Old Spanish = 10-15th centuries
Old English = 6-13th centuries (language goes way further back but too far back and it's not the same period)
By the 13th century is had formed into middle English. Of course, neither of these languages remained the same for their duration.
Also, Old Spanish is more of a literary language (still remains in some use today) whilst Old English was just the general language, the one that constantly changes. Not bound by academia and prescriptivism.
