Why do Russians dislike Boris Yeltsin so much?
He seems only slightly less hostile towards the U.S. than the Soviets, and he opened up the markets and gave Russians more freedom. What exactly is bad about that? Russians just can't handle not having a authoritarian leader?
I was born in Russia and I like Yeltsin
Mostly because he was massively, amazingly incompetent and burned the country to the ground for 8 years.
he did order military action on his lawmakers
that's not common even for russia

He shot the parliament with fucking tanks. Our GDP was like 100bln or smth, people were actually starving. He was the worst leader in history desu, literally did nothing good.
dumb russians thought theyll be better off as russia not the ussr, turns out its not true, now they hate the person who did as they wish

Maybe because he was an alcoholic retard who showed up drunk on international meetings and made Russia the laughing stock of the world?

It was time of total disorder. Some people became rich very quickly, but the rest of the people were starving. I remember my family took humanitarian aid from USA - 20 kg bananas))
