I assume that this is the most appropriate board for a question like this, so here I go.
Is this textbook a good resource for learning French? It is the 2008 version. I have been using Duolingo only, and while I can read Le Petit Nicholas, I feel that using Duolingo alone will not make me fluent enough to eventually read authors such as Flaubert and carry out conversations.
Anyway, I'd really appreciate some opinions on this textbook. (I will also be using Michel Thomas, if that is a good idea) Thanks!
Yo, any Germans know a place where Germans who are bad at English or trying to improve their English congregate?

I can't give you an opinion about the book cause my entire learning proccess was by watching videos online and listening to french radio.
However, grammar wise, I've been using since the beginning:
http://www.francaisfacile.com/index.php
http://www.connectigramme.com/index.htm
Hope these help you in some form. Also, try asking /lang/ and /fr/. The first in the language learning general (they have a lot of french sources at the OP) and the latter is the french general in this very same board. Good luck

Thanks. I will check them out; I'm quite rusty on grammar.
Do you consider yourself fluent in French?

I'd consider myself in an intermediate level. Could hold my own in french for most topics but have a limited vocabulary.
