Heraclius had been roaming around their territory for years smashing their armies, burning their temples, generally causing chaos, etc. . It was a perfect situation for the Arabs, the only two roadblocks to their expansion were on the brink of collapse already.

Anyhow Turks and Muslims in general are the bad guys of this world, a movie about them winning and destroying civilization wouldn't have good box office results, and that's what matters.
